The 15th European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival

From the very first creative workshops of Varan Vietnam, National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio has always been the place providing dedicated assistance and support to Varan students.

At this year’s European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival, Varan Vietnam is honored to present two short films – “Gió mùa về” (directed by Lê Thị Thắm) and “Toàn ơi” (directed by Nguyễn Hồ Bảo Nghi) – which were both completed in the 2025 Varan Hanoi workshop.

Dear friends and film lovers of Varan are warmly invited to visit 465 Hoang Hoa Tham (Hanoi) to enjoy these works.

Additionally, during the film festival week, there are many interesting works by colleagues from National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio and talented filmmakers from various European countries.

The screening features filmmakers from Varan Vietnam, and all proceeds will be donated as a small support to Mr. Toàn’s family. The two films were completed within the Hanoi 2024-2025 workshop, sponsored by CFImedias and the European and French Ministry of Foreign Affairs (France Diplomatie) as part of the project "Des médias Une santé" (Multi-Media One Health), by the French Embassy in Vietnam / Ambassade de France au Vietnam, along with support from Purin Pictures for film activities and the C
